i am convinced that lana del rey purposely sang horribly in order to attract more media attention. i think her other (earlier) live performances are proof of that. for example, this one. whatever. it worked. everyone with an internet connection knows of her now.

No, but really. This is the first episode of SNL I have actually watched live on TV since Betty White because I fucking love me some Daniel Radcliffe. I had only heard of Lana Del Rey barely on Tumblr but when she came on and started singing, I got really embarrassed for her and muted the TV. She was awful.
